    Apparently the Spurs are looking at moving Demar Derozan in order to free up room to sign Bojan Bogdanovic.

    It makes sense to me if San Antonio decide to go with White & Murray as their back-court as it does not offer a lot of shooting which Bogdanovic would bring a lot of. DeRozan to me is the superior player as he is better at pretty much everything apart from shooting from the outside than Bogdanovic.

     

    Who do you think could be interested in Demar Derozan? He has always been a 1st option on a team, I think he could be awesome as a 2nd option. His career thus far has been somewhat Joe Johnson like who could have been really good next to an Alpha rather than being one himself.

    (A sign & trade could be possible with Indiana as they have a plan to go after shot creators & scorers (Derozan 21ppg-6.2apg) could be a guy that they want)

     New York? If they miss out on those F.A, they could go after Derozan unfortunately I’m not sure what the Spurs want.

    If they want cap relief in return then that leaves pretty much only the Knicks, Lakers or Clippers depending on who strikes out in FA.

    Most of the teams I could see being interested in him are capped out and would need to send bad contracts back (Miami, Detroit, Charlotte)

      Atlanta receive Demar DeRozan

      San Antonio receive Allen Crabbe, Omari Spellman and the pick#17 (or pick #35 and a future 2nd round)

     Minnesota coul makes sense if their interested in trying out another "veteran leader" in the locker room. Derozan for Covington and Dieng is a fair swap in my opinion.

    Why throw money at Bogdanovic over Demar? If I was San Antonio I would throw all my money possible at KP and hope that Dallas says f it and doesn’t match

     There would be takers for DeRozan as he is a top level player and very durable and will likely give you 20ppg plus. He may be turning 30 this year but his deal would be for a max of two years so a team looking to contend may have interest.

    But what would the Spurs get back if they are in effect looking for salary space plus teams seeing the Spurs wanting to give up on a player and with DeRozan never quite being able to get Toronto over the line may count against him.

    I could see the Knicks looking at him and then drafting RJ to create a logjam at SG.
