     What do you think the Hawks should and will do with all these picks? They have the 8th, 10th, and 17th, 35th, 41st, and 42nd picks after the Brooklyn trade. Do they move up and draft RJ? They cant seriously want to bring in 3 to 6 rookies again for next season. Eventually you gotta start trying to win or you’ll end up like Minnesota or Phoenix.

    I agree – while there are a bunch of prospects I like in this draft outside of the top 10, I don’t think we can bring in 3 to 6 rookies. Is there a limit to how many rookies an NBA roster can have?

    It appears that they’re going to trade up, and there’s no way they’re getting higher than 3 so RJ (or Culver as is rumored) must really be there guy. I understand trading up to get RJ because he will most certainly be gone by 8, but there’s no guarantee Culver isn’t available at 8. So if they trade up to 3 to get him, I’ll be shaking my head.

    Should be a lot of movement on draft day.

       I could see them moving the 8th and 17th to Cleveland for the 5th and then picking Culver 5th. I dont think Culver would get past Chicago. Cavs really need talent and currently have the 5th and 26th picks. Theyve apparently been targetting Porter Jr. They may want to trade down to get him.

      That roster seriously lacks talent. If they can get a good young wing at 8, best player available at 17 and whichever big falls to 26 that would be a good draft for them at this stage of their rebuild. Any of Claxton, Brown, Kabangele, Gafford, Bitadze, Clarke, Reid would work and you gotta think one of them would be available.

       Oh and theres no cap on rookies. I just think it creates a terrible culture. Having 6 of your 12 rotation players beeing rookies or sophmores is not how you get better.

    The rumor is the Hawks want to move out of the 10th spot for future assets.  Depending on who Boston likes I wouldn’t mind moving up to 10 to secure their guy.

        Totally agree but people on this site would tell you otherwise.

        They love some Trae Young. I know we get an extra pick this year but it was still the wrong move.

     The Hawks have got a decent return for Prince despite giving up one of their better younger players in him.

    With those 3 first rounders. I could see them looking to move up somehow. With the safety net of the 17th they could even package the two higher ones to try and get into the top 3. A combo of 8 or 10 and 17 could get them inside the top 5 or 6 I’d figure but is there much value in that I wonder.

    They may even decide to draft 3 guys and stash at least a couple of the 2nd round guys.

    The 3 picks between 35th and 42nd, would be of interest to contenders whoi may want none guaranteed contracts so a combo of those could even be flipped for a 4th first rounder.

    My interest is in what moves the Nets have made as they have freed up a lot more cap space moving Crabbe and already had room for a couple of max or near max players.
