     Woj reported earlier today that Kyrie is serious about the Nets and that the Nets are serious about beating every team in free agency, most likely meaning they will try to pair Kyrie, and KD. They would have to renounce DLo. If this happens I’d actually like Dlo on alot of teams, Suns, Pacers, even with the Mavs. Can’t wait for the first dominoes of free agency to fall, this will be a big summer for alot of big market teams which will dictate their future. By the way, if this would happen, it would likely take out the Nets, and Boston for a potential AD trade. Might be lowkey good for the Lakers

     Injury prone and lacks teams chemistry.  If im the Nets I go after Durant first and foremost.

    I really hope the nets don’t overpay to get kyrie, he is a great individual talent but not sure how he is with team chemistry.  No need to overpay him.  He bought a house and played HS ball close by so he obvi has brooklyn right up the top of his list

       It’s honestly a hard one. The nets have done a incredible job from the situation they were in – they basically gave up all their picks away in bad deals so they didn’t really have access to the top talent in the leangue. And they have done well, made smart trades and little deals and somehow managed to make it to the playoffs, do you really want to ruin that with Kyrie, who can has chemistry issues.

      But on the other hand, how far will they get in their current state? It isn’t everyday someone of Kyries star power wants to join the ‘other’ NY team. So they might as well just go for it, lock down Kyrie and pair him with another F/A, surely they wouldn’t get worse with Kyire? 

      Hard one.

     It would be ironic, if after my Celtics fleecing the Nets of all those draft picks, the Nets end up the stronger of the two

       I don’t get it, I’d rather D Russ over Irving. Irving killed the Celtics. You get Durant OK that makes sense, but that’s going to be crazy hard. Irving can’t be your best player, he needs someone to keep him in check.

         I dont think you can get one without the other. There would be better situations for Irving if Durant doesnt sign there and vice versa. You also got about a 0.1% chance of any rebuild netting you better talent than Irving and Durant.

           I disagree with that one.  Kyrie plays hero/iso ball and kills chemistry.  If we can see it, other players in the league can surely see it.  Padbrook is another one – I personally thought Paul George would have seen it and not signed there.  I bet he is now regreting that decision to play with Padbrook

            Oh boy. Star players continue to leave Westbrook alone, and there really wasn’t much on camera between these two over the season. OKC is going to be a hard sell to players who want to win championships

     I posted a couple weeks ago, Kyrie bought a house already in South Orange…he’s going to the Nets. I don’t want to see him and DLO together though. Interested in where he ends up.

      He may be headed to the Nets, but buying a house in South Orange doesn’t make the most sense to me. At 4 am on a Wednesday, it would take 45 minutes to get from South Orange to Barclays Center. During normal NJ and NY daytime traffic, it’s around 1.5 hours. During rush hour, that is over a 2 hour commute. Trust me, I live in Newark. MSQ is so much closer – 30 minutes to an hour, and Philly is about 1 hour to 1.5 hours with traffic. So I don’t get how a house in South Orange equals Nets. Not saying he doesn’t go there, but don’t know why you’d buy a place in South Orange if Brooklyn was your desired location. Just saying. It’s going to be interesting how it plays out.

       You know he grew up in West Orange right? For all we know that house isnt even for him.

        That’s what I’ve been saying since the report came out. And if you’ve ever driven in NJ or NY, you wouldn’t want to do the South Orange to Brooklyn commute regularly. It’s a freaking nightmare. That’s the truth.

    This is a loud statement by the nets FO. Developing teams rarely give draft picks away to shed salary. Marks is a savvy GM, I’ll be interested to watch what’s happens
