Pascal Siakam

I think he’s in the same ballpark as Mccollum and Oladipo. I’ve always thought Porzingis is overrated. Hes clearly better than the rest.

Definitely not Wiggins. That’s a joke.

 wiggins all the way! He averages 17 points per. Very rare for a 5 year player. ( sarcasm)

Siakam reminds me of KG, same build, good for work, coordination, uses his pivot very well and has an all around game.

i would agree with the comment above same plane as McCollum and Victor.

 I rather have Ben Simmons, Kristaps Porzingis, Victor Oladipo, Khris Middleton.

I put Siakam ahead of Aaron Gordon, CJ McCollum, and Andrew Wiggins.

He has the tools to excel. Length, atleticism, Iq and skills with his height that not an average nba player can do. Yes he is a power forward but he plays style is like a wing who can dribble andslash. He has that edge. He can blow by big players and post up and shoot over on smalle defenders. This is what simmons supposed to be. A PF who cam bring the ball down and be a matchup problem but simmons don’t have his shooting lol. The only thing simmons has is kendall lol. Siakam’s agility for his size is great. 

 I definitely put him ahead of Gordon and Wiggins. For the rest of the guys on the list it depends on context. Guys like Middleton and McCollum are more advanced offensive players at this point who you can run more of your offense through. Neither is as versatile or effective as Siakam on defense though. Simmons is probably a more advanced all-around player at this point, but his lack of a jump shot severely limits his effectiveness against elite defensive teams. There is no way I’d take Siakam over a healthy Porzingis or oladipo.  

Knocking down his first shot tonight was huge for him imo. He is always going to bring energy but he had been kind of hesitant to shoot it recently and passed up some open looks in the Milwaukee series. He’s a rhythm player right now and he got in a very good rhythm last night. We’ll see if it carries over to the next game. 

I have to see how Oladipo comes back from his injury. He might not be the same guy. Also, McCollum is showing that he’s a big time postseason performer. That raises his profile IMO. But I still have Pascal just ahead of him (McCollum), Middleton & Gordon. If Gordon would get it out of his head that he’s Paul George, and try to be more Shawn Marion he would be right there with Siakam. But his refusal to accept that he’s not a playmaking, high usage creator limits his upside. 

Ben Simmons is pissing me off though. His complete reluctance to shoot the damn ball is baffling. He has Hall-of-Fame ability, but his lack of confidence in his shot will make him easy to gameplan for in the playoffs. I very well may have Siakam ahead of him after next year if he doesn’t add a shot to his game.

Cant wait for Siakam to get paid and labeled overpaid/overrated…No GM would take Siakam over Simmons/Porzingas/VO or CJ…Pascal is a role player that excelled in his role next to a Super Star, plenty of other guys have done the same for 1-2 seasons… Lets watch him next year with no Leonard 

Siakam’s situation reminds me of a super-charged version of Biyombo’s in his last year with Toronto. He played really well and got overpaid into obscurity.
