Living in the US I have to admit my knowledge of international prospects is sorely lacking. I know who the main guys are like sekou and goga who are likely to be lottery or first round picks, and have tried as hard as I can to somewhat familiarize myself with their games. However, without direct access to seeing them play it’s pretty difficult. Every year there are at least a handful of guys from overseas who wind up getting drafted in the second round and most of the time I have no idea who they are. Granted a lot of them are just draft and stash guys who never actually play in the league, but some do and wind up making a pretty big impact (jokic, ginobilli, etc.). So if you are more familiar with international basketball than me, throw out some names of guys you think have a pretty good chance of hearing their name called on draft night or some under the radar international guys who you think have a pretty good chance of developing into solid nba players.

Not really familiar myself with international players but I try to read bios of international players or at least find some big boards with international players on them, may be even look at experts like Jonathan Givony and see which international players he has been looking at. (I know hearing his name on this site is a big no no, since he used to be with Draft Express but its still a good idea to "know the enemy")

    • Ignas Brazdeikis (Don’t know if he qualifies as one, but I think he does since he was born and raised in Germay, even though he’s moved to the US to play for Michigan)
    • Luka Samanic (Stretch 4, who had surprising numbers at Combine)
    • Adam Mokoka (3 and D 2 guard from France, very explosive, is compared to Josh Okogie on this site)
    • Borisa Simanic (6’11 big man from Serbia who has been on international radars for quite awhile)
    • Vanja Marinkovic
    • Kostja Mushidi
    • Abdoulaye N’Doye
    • Joshua Obiesie
    • Marko Simonovic
    • Deividas Sirvydis (very young forward from Lithuania. Been a hot name thats been floating around recently. Mostly a shooter, not very explosive and body needs work but held his own at a high level as a teenager playing for Lietuvus Rytas, will probably get drafted if he keeps his name in the draft)
    • Arturs Zagars
    • Yovel Zoosman

     ^^^

    good list.

Luka Samanic might go 1st round (at least that is where I have him).

Imports might be the "value picks" of the second round especially if mystery men like Darius Bazley and Jalen Lecque move into the first round.  I think "upside guys" move up.  Wing defenders will probably be overdrafted.

Samanic looked excellent at the combine and being 6’11” has more than likely landed himself as a 1st round pick.

I’ve heard teams, including Golden State like Alen Smailagic.

I’ve read that Obiesie was terrible at the Nike Hoop Summit.

Marko Simonovic at 7’0” has a chance to go in the 2nd round. Mokoka will get picked in the 2nd due to his versatility. N’Doye is a guy you can take in the 50s.

Name to watch out for: Tadas Sedekerskis

I also think Yovel Zoosman will get picked in the 40’s

I think these are the four guys who have the best chance of getting drafted in the 2nd.
Luka Samanic late 1st to early 2nd
Adam Mokoka mid 2nd to late 2nd
Joshua Obiesie mid 2nd to undrafted
Deividas Sirvydis mid 2nd to undrafted

Marcus "Didi" Louzada is a 6-5 SG/SF from Brazil that played in this year Hoops Summit. He’s a lockdown defender, can knock dawn shots, has above average athleticism and plays smart. He’s already playing a important role in the NT at only 19yo. He has Spurs written all over him.
