I am a lifelong duke blue devils fan. I love seeing my teams players get drafted but everytime i hear people talk about how gerald henderson is shooting up draft boards i cant help but ask myself is he really that good? My only thing is am i the only person who notices gerald henderson cant go left and does not have a left hand. All of his power drives are to his right and whenever he goes left he more likely than not spins back right or pulls up because he cant go all the way to the hoop with the left hand. WHat do yall think?

Henderson is a good prospect, but he REALLY needs to improve his ball handling. Still, he has plenty of time to develop his left hand.

If anything him being able to score with his left hand just adds more potential, I think. Imagine if he just improves it slightly to where he’s somewhat of a threat. Makes him that much more deadly. He is also just starting to get his confidence, it has slowly started to pick up as this season progressed. His mid range game is great, and 3 point is picking up. Of course his athleticism is top notch. If he adds polish, I think he could be a all star. And keeps growing confidence. His game/development has been hindered by duke’s team system which in the long term is good because his intangibles have developed nicely.

Naw, it just took Henderson until his junior year to show his potential. I gave up on him about five games too soon, but his development was long overdue. He was about to be the next Kevin Torbert from Michigan State a few years ago.

Yea the left hand would just put the icing on the cake. Everybody has things they need to improve, and 1 or 2 improvable weakness usually dont stop someone from being a good player, as long as they are willing to work to improve those areas and Henderson looks to be a worker.

I think he is very talented player that is finally living up to the it. Coming out of high school he was rated as the 15th best player by scout.com and the 11th best player by rivals.com. I think it just took him longer to get used to the college game than other recruits

naw gerald is really like 6.3. i saw him up close the other day when i went to the acc championship. it just another typical way basketball blows up people’s heights. I remember when eric gordon was at indiana they said he was 6 4. eric gordon plays wit my cousin al thornton on the clippers now and eric gordon is more like 6 2. he is bulky and strong though
