valentine
Is it because they have 2 of the top 5 players in the game? Does anybody else think they should be the favorite?

WizardofOzParticipantIf LeBron loses some weight and regains his old athleticism, I think they should be the favorite. The main reason why they lost The Finals is because LeBron couldn’t get past ANYONE! If he regains his quickness, he should become dominate again. And the Heat’s big 3 will have one more year to gel.

AnthonyPEPZParticipantI don’t there is gonna be a all out favourite but the Heat are up there with the Bulls,Thunder,Lakers and Celts for next year.If they are gonna win they have to get more help from support cast because too often during the Post season you would say "Lebron……","Wade….." but never Chalmers,Dampier,Anthony……………Also, a little composure and clutch performances will do as in the regular season they gave up too many leads.

iguapops420ParticipantWhen you have 2 top 5 players and a top 20 player who are all in the primes of their careers. You are expected to win. Kobe and Shaq did it 3 times with a bunch of Merry Minimums. Bron does need to regain a little quickness, but he never really relied on quickness so much as being simply aggressive and dropping his shoulder barrel rolling people. The guy simply WOULD NOT TRY. It seems to me like he has tried developing into a jumpshooter, but isn’t that good. Fact is, he tries SO HARD to hit the jumpers that he forgets his true strength which is being aggressive attacking the basket. He better hope Wade and Bosh want it bad next year, because if the tites hopes rest on his shoulders, Heat fans might as well shit in one hand and wish in the other and see which one fills up first.

lakersfan4lifeParticipantThey are the favorites because the Eastern Conference is generally weak (top to bottom). The only contenders that can legitimately make it to the NBA Finals and challenge the Heat are the Chicago Bulls and the Boston Celtics. Their path is much easier than anyone coming out of the Western Conference.
