    I think J.Harden will definitely be a starter in his first year. B.Griffin should get a shot to be a starter sometime in his first year if not first day. Greg Monroe on the right team, but I think on any team picking high enough to get him he will supplant whoever is starting at the 4. Earl Clark has an outside shot at starting. Patty Mills maybe only saying that the way he was slaying cats in the Olympics. Hard to say Thabeet doesn’t have a shot at starting on a team picking him so high but it might be better if they bring him along at his own pace hard to tell with guys that big. Just wanted to know what you guys think.

    Blake Griffin and James Harden are locks to be starters for whatever team they get drafted by, and all the other prospects may be starters at some point, but their going to be brought along slowly before though.

    Don’t think anybody is a lock. Last year at this time you would say the samething about Beasley and he is struggling.

      I agree Beasley is struggling, but the organization could give him a boost by getting rid of Marion. They are the same kind of forward and for the most part Marion is’nt effective in this system. But Beasley isn’t playing well right now..

    I agree that no one in this year’s draft is a lock to start right away. Harden has shown great leadership and scoring ability at ASU, but it all depends on what team he gets drafted by. Look at Jerryd Bayless this past year, good college numbers, had an GREAT summer and he gets maybe 2 minutes a night. It’s all because he has great players in front of him, and he simply hasn’t put in the work that they have. I think you could say Blake Griffin was a lock because he’ll probably end up with the Thunder, and they would welcome anyone right now.

      I think almost every player in this draft is suspect. When I say “suspect” I mean that no one in this draft has really proven anything. Blake Griffin is putting up huge numbers but he doesn’t seem to possess any real skill or post moves. Jordan Hill reminds me a lot of Sheldan Williams, decent stats but not as NBA-ready as he appears. Another extremely suspect player is Hasheem Thabeet. I thought he would be a sure fire defensive-minded starting center in the NBA but after watching the Greg Monroe, a 6’9 freshman, nearly dominate him on both sides of the floor I’m not too sure about him.
      Even James Harden at 6’5 doesn’t seem like someone who will come in and start. In my opinion he’ll be just another great college scorer who could have problems translating his game to the NBA. I understand that the team the player is drafted to has a lot to do with how success they achieve but this is the first year in a while where none of the freshman are doing anything, and neither are most of the returning sophmores.
      I wouldn’t be surprised to see teams trading picks for players or future picks this June.
      Hopefully I’m wrong.

    There’s always the obvious but i can see Philadelphia getting a point guard in the second round and with this years crop of solid, upper classmen lead guards, could have a chance to start (barringa move of andre miller, or injury of him). Louis Williams is blossoming but not as a 1 man, with the exception of elton brand, the sixers are fast. If they can get their hands on tyrese rice, eric maynor (if he slips which he may not that he should), or in my mind the best of the 2nd round point men, jeremy pargo, they could be handed the reins right away. The same can be said about teams like Minnesota, but i think they’ll wind up with teague (if theyre lucky), collison, or mills. I think patrick mills is the most ready pg outside of the lottery, possibly including the lottery.
