“Why can’t I be the best player in the league?”-Derrick Rose

I’m guessing this is one of the main reasons the Bulls didn’t pursue Anthony… I think this is one of the underlying reasons why Rose didn’t care too much about LeBron, Dwayne, or Anthony joining him. I feel that Rose has a chip on his shoulder, especially after how this summer went, to prove that he can be the main man and take care of the team without any big time help. I like the attitude, but everyone needs help even if that means bringing someone of a high stature into the locker room. I’m not saying Boozer doesn’t count for something. He does, but it’s not like he is going to make as big as an impact as any of the other top players the Bulls could have gotten. He is a good consolation prize, nonetheless.
