GodfatherParticipantHow does one define bust?
Bad pick for their spot?
Bad compared to who was picked after them?
And Olawakandi wasn’t THAT awful. He had four 9 rpg seasons. Milicic is TEN times more bust than he is. He was picked ahead of Bosh Wade Melo, etc, and has only had one 6 rpg season.

GodfatherParticipantAlso, Sam Bowie wasn’t an AWFUL pick either. The Blazers drafted Drexler the year before. And when he was healthy he was great. His rookie year he nearly averaged a double double, he had two 15 ppg years, and averaged 8 boards and 2 blks for his career.

Demarcus OnealParticipantA bust is a player who significantly falls below expectations, fails to live up to little or any of their potential. The spot they were taken in are considered as well who they were taken over are.
Olawankandi was the number one pick
picked over
Pierce
Dirk
Vince
Jamison
Bibby
Rashard Lewis
had terrible wotk ethic and attitude and never amounted to any thing near decency and 9 rebounds for 4 seasons over an nba career when you are 7 feet tall and a former number one pick doesnt impress me0 -

Demarcus OnealParticipantUnfortunetly his case is more due to who he wa spicked over and even though he did have good intial seasons in one of the best draft classes of all time with multiple hall of fames and being one pick before the best player to ever play the game did help. selected over MJ , Barkley, and Sam Perkins but I understand what you are saying about the drexler thing but still not picking Michael Jordan warrants it as the biggest bust ever

GodfatherParticipantI know, don’t get me wrong, he is bustapalooza, but not #2 bust overall.

cap777ParticipantHow can you name Joe Smith a bust? He wasn’t the most dominant player but he stayed in the NBA for a number of years, had a strong career and always helped his team.

WizardofOzParticipantSam Bowie isn’t a bust because of his production, it’s because he was picked ahead of Michael Jordan. Sam Bowie was actually an okay player, but the Blazers had a chance to get greatest player of all-time and they would have been a force in the West for years. I would Bowie #1 too because of that.

iguapops420Participanttim thomas anyone? guy should have been durant long before. never had the bball desire or work ethic.
odom-not quite a bust but should have become so much better. has the skill but lacks the aggression and mentality.
stro-2nd overall pick never amounted to anything but a foul prone swatter/dunker.0 -
