    Top Rank promoter Bob Arum’s deadline of 3 a.m. ET came and went Saturday morning with no response from Floyd Mayweather Jr. or his representatives about whether he would accept the terms of a deal for a Nov. 13 fight with Manny Pacquiao.

    So there is no deal, Arum said, and he will begin negotiating another fight for the pound-for-pound king.

    The two candidates are other fighters Arum promotes, disgraced former welterweight titlist Antonio Margarito, who remains unlicensed in the United States because of the scandal over his hand wraps before his knockout loss to Shane Mosley last year, or a rematch with Miguel Cotto, whom Pacquiao knocked out to win a welterweight title in November 2009.

    Those fights would take place at junior middleweight and give Pacquiao a chance to win a title in a record-extending eighth weight class.

    He would either fight Cotto for the 154-pound belt he won from Yuri Foreman on June 5 or face Margarito for the belt vacated by Sergio Martinez after he moved up and won the middleweight championship in April.

    But Arum did give Mayweather some wiggle room to still accept the deal. He said the deadline he imposed was only as it related to negotiating exclusively with the Mayweather camp.

    Im pissed im fans of both and really wanted this fight to happen sucks lets hope hapen at least in the beginning of 2011

    Inside the ring and during training Floyd is a masterpiece its when he opens his mouth he talks so ignorant I dont think he is scared of Pacman but he just stubborn as hell

    no floyd hates bob arum like he really hates because he talks down on him and says stupid things and he hates the way he treat his fighters and he didnt agree to trems bcaue bob arum was trying to make him do it floyd aint letting nobody make him do anything he’s a grown ass man at least thats what I think floyd will say.

    Wizkid floyd talk like that to get into fighters head and make them come after them so when they fighter in the rign they come out to agressive and he counter they ass all day floyd is master mind when it come to boxing.

    Money Mayweather is undefeated and just doesnt wanna lose because pacquiao has the best chance to beat him

    No go look up some interviews and apperances…….I remeber he was on NBATV during allstar weekend and they were asking him questions and he was just talking not answering questions like it was his show but in the ring he would beat paquiao his defense is rock solid and his training is superb

    Mayweather has ducked guys his whole career. The only reason he even fought Sugar Shane is because Shane is washed up. Floyd always chickened out of fighting Paul Williams. Floyd is one of the most talented boxers in the past 25 years no doubt, but to say he’s seeked top competition is a joke.
