MY GOD THIS DEADLINE IS INSANE

Suns receive: Kevin Durant, TJ Warren
Nets receive: Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder, 4 unprotected 1st round picks (2023,2025,2027,2029), 2028 pick swap

Suns didn’t even give up Ayton, Booker or CP3 wow. If healthy, this team is a nightmare lol. The depth is questionable but boy they’re going all in. Nets retool after trading KD and Kyrie and have a roster similar to the one they had in 2019. Great trade by the Suns, Good trade by the Nets.

Oh and Lebron, KD, Steph, and Kawhi are all in the same division sheesh.

As a Suns fan we have given up a lot as KD will be 35 this year. But it is KD we have never won a title and we keep our 3 best players. As we gave up Bridges I’d have not given up 2029 pick or at least made it protected but it is a minor issue. Booker is there until 2027 so he covers the earlier picks given up.

Lets see if this can finally get us over the line.

Going all-in for a title comes with risks. The Nets are Exhibit A on that one, but why else are you playing? If you think Durant can be a star for two of the three remaining years, and have Booker and Ayton locked in, then you could go generations without having that good of a chance to win it all (or multiple titles). Now, with CP3 and Durant, you have to worry about getting them to June healthy, but it is a risk every team should want to take.
