Well, the draft is over and an underwhelming one at that due to no trades at all. With that being said, here are my winners and losers from this year´s draft.
    Winners
Dallas Mavericks- Getting Josh Green at 18 gives them a 3 and D atheltic wing who could potentially have a bigger roie on offense. Then getting Tyrell Terry at 31 and Tyler Bey at 36 are considered huge steals in my opinion. Trading Seth Curry for Josh Richardson is just icing on the cupcake.
Philadelphia 76ers- Getting Tyrese Maxey at 21 is a steal. He provides scoring and defense off the bench for them. Then, they were able to trade Al Horford and Josh Richardson for a future 1st, Danny Green, Seth Curry and Terence Ferguson. Green and Curry provides the Sixers with shooting they desperately needed, The East just got a lot better at the top.
Sacramento Kings- Tyrese Haliburton at 12… HOW. He is the perfect compliment to De´Aaron Fox as they cover each other´s weaknesses. They also got Robert Woodard II and Jahmius Ramsey in the 2nd round which are most likely steals as well.

    Losers
Chicago Bulls- Deni is available. Obi is available and yet they take the biggest project in PATRICK WILLIAMS. This guy didn´t even start in college and then boom… 4th pick. The only thing going for him is his age but man they have better options with this one. Even Isaac Okoro would have been better here. Speaking of which…
Cleveland Cavaliers- Isaac Okoro may very well be the best defender in this class but his shooting leaves a lot to be desired. On a team with Collin Sexton and possibly Andre Drummond, there´s not a lot of spacing for this team that were a bottom 10 3pt shooting team. He´ll be another Bustise Winslow if his shooting does not develop.
New York Knicks- A team loaded with Power Forwards just drafted another one in Obi Toppin SMH. His offense is great and he is a highlight machine but he´s a terrible defender and under Coach Thibs, oh boy that´s a bad combination if I ever see one. At least they made it up by drafting Immanuel Quickley who is a fit alongside RJ Barrett. Quickley is one of the better 3 and D guards in this draft who could see PT right away under Thibs( if he decides to play rookies)

What are your winners and losers of this draft?

Agree with your choices. In addition:

I don’t like what Boston did. All those picks and pieces to move and they didn’t get much out of it. They got a bench shooter in Nesmith and a 3rd string point guard (who you could have easily gotten in the second round). When you have that many picks, I figured they’d use one on a boom/bust, high risk guy. Or at least get a centre with their lack of size.

I like what Detroit did. They went into the draft trying to rebuild. Getting Hayes is a nice choice (I think he’s my top ROY choice as of now). Stewart was a bit of a reach, but fills a need as they are weak at center. Picking up Saddiq who dropped was a nice touch. Getting Ariza, Bradley and McGruder adds some veterans and depth to a team who was lacking in both departments.

Orlando getting Anthony is just what they need. They lack a scoring punch and a lead guard and that is what he is. I don’t fully trust Fultz, but they are a nice, young tandem to have at the 1 spot.

Yeah if I had to say any losers I’d say Boston and Philly for not packaging their picks but they drafted well. I’d say Pelicans for not addressing their logjam issues and trying to move up but Kyra Lewis at 13 is decent value. I really dont think there were too many losers, other than whoever has to go play in Minnesota.

As a Detroit fan, I wasn’t really sure what to think of the draft. I loved the drafting of Hayes, but I always liked Kennard and was disappointed to see him traded. Although having time to think about it, he’s more of a complimentary piece, not a piece you build around. Having said that, I expected Rose to be traded before him. Definitely a rebuild draft for Detroit.

Detroit, OKC, Washington and Charlotte had the best drafts I think.

Cassius Winston at 53 to OKC will probably end up the steal of the draft. He might actually win rookie of the year if he gets minutes which all signs lead to him getting. Avdija falling to 9 is gonna look amazing. I really like the Detroit trio of Hayes, Bey and Stewart. Stewart went a little bit higher than expected due to his personal relationship with Troy Weaver but I feel like he will be a good player and will make Pistons fans happy. Smart move for Charlotte to pick Ball instead of Okongwu. Just go for the talent, figure everything else out after. I think Vernon Carey will have just as good of a career as Onyeka Okongwu he’s a steal at 32. I also like what my Raptors did. Not trying to be biased but Jalen Harris at 59 is a robbery.

As far as losers not really sure there is one. I’d say the biggest loser is Jaden Mcdaniels. He was one pick away from ending up a Toronto Raptor where he would be groomed and developed with a top 3 development team in the league and ends up going to Minnesota where they turned the film room into a game room.

Look how deep this draft was. I honestly think picks 53-59 show similar promise to picks 23-29.

While you talk about New Orlean’s log jam (5 guys that area capable of playing point guard), Charlotte is kind of in the same boat now. You add Ball and Riller to Rozier and Graham. Both of these teams have to make some moves in my mind. I like Charlotte’s choices of Carey and Richards for backup centers. With Zeller’s play and injury history, I could see either of them moving into the starting role.

FIRST OF ALL MALIKA ANDREWS!!! WHOA! !!! YES INDEED!!

Memphis Did OK For Themselves acquiring the 30th pick from Boston and selecting Desmond Bane..1 of the best shooters in the draft..
Getting the Kings 35TH PICK Michigan State big man Xavier Tillman who was viewed as a 1st rounder..
And signing undrafted Killian Tillie a lottery talent, but a history of injuries scared teams…All 3 are matured players that might produce right away…And I Heard Memphis is trying to obtain Kelly Oubre,if u remember they almost got him a few years ago in that infamous Dillion or Marshon Brooks fiasco…Still LMAO!!

The Only 1st Round Surprise to me was Utah selecting Adoka Azubuike the 7 footer from Kansas…….The 2nd Round surprise was Nico Mannion lasting until the 48th pick..

I think the Pistons, Kings and Sixers had the best draft day. I wish my Thunder had traded up for Hayes and I believe he will end up being better the LaMelo who everybody seems to expect being great but I don’t buy it.
The Kings had the best draft they had over the last ten years.
I really can’t believe how Morey and the Sixers managed to get rid of Al and his terrible contract, a bad fit in Richardson and and added Seth on what might be one of the best contracts in the league and received an expiring value vet in Green without having to give up any significant asset AT ALL! Presti really fucked this up and completely failed to squeeze someone like Thybulle out of this. Still can’t believe OKC now has to pay Al 80 million over the next three years until he is 37. the Sixers also drafted well and are the absolute winners of the draft das to me.

The Spurs didn’t win like they usually do on draft night, but I’m pretty stoked about Vassell and Tre Jones. I’m surprised Vassell dropped to 11. Either he or Nesmith would have been good picks here, I might have gone Nesmith because it seems like he has the body type that would eventually allow him to play some 4 — but Vassell could also bulk up. Jones seems like a near steal in the middle of the 2nd round, although I doubt he’ll ever play meaningful minutes for the Spurs as White, Murray and Mills are all ahead of him.

Teams probably would have loved to have moved up but we hear Knicks were settled on Tobbin and Wizatds loved Deni so teams like Spurs, Boston couldn’t move up or would have had to give up too much to do so.

I think Chicago and Cavs overreached by a few places for their guys. Hayes might have been a reach but Detroit needed a PG and they took best available. I’s have questioned why they maybe didn’t trade down if they thought Hayes might have been available in 11 to 14 range.
Maldeon was a great pick up for Thunder in 2nd round.

The Warriors are very unlucky with Klay because otherwise drafting Wiseman and getting Oubre for a pick were two very good moves.
Philly drafted well but now you have all of these guys on the wing – Furkan Korkmaz, Tyrese Maxey, Seth Curry, Zhaire Smith, Isiah Joe, Danny Green, Alec Burks, Matisse Thybulle, Terrance Ferguson, Shake Milton, Glenn Robinson, Mariol Shayok, Ryan Broekhoff. They need to make a couple of trades and balance the roster.
I was surprised at Phoenix taking Jalen Smith but it’s not a bad pick. CP3 has a good scoring big and a lot of 3 point shooters around him. They’ll have a fun season.
I like Denver getting Hampton and Memphis getting Bane.

I think they only got Oubre in response to the Klay injury but who knows what they had cooking up. Maybe a Wiggins trade to get his salary off the books is coming because right now they are paying a billion dollars due to luxary tax.
