DJ Augustin isn’t forever, they need a backup PG, they need a guy that can score. The Magic love defense. To me it’s an obvious pick here of Kira Lewis Jr.

Still too early to trust Fultz long term. Augustin is a free agent now, and even if he is brought back he is getting up there in mileage. Some of the best guys on the board are point guards, so I think you have to go that route. Choosing one out of the bunch is the hard part as you have Lewis, Terry, Anthony, Maxey and even Maledon and I don’t think there is a huge gap between all of these guys who will be mid first rounders. From what I’ve been hearing, it sounds like Kira Lewis has been the best of the bunch, so that’s my choice.

I think they go pg here. Several options on the board. I like them to take Tyrell Terry. He’s a guy that you can play on or off the ball and would be a change of pace from fultz. You could play him next to fultz as well.

Markelle Fultz seems like he started to get his confidence back this past season after it was all but gone. Because I think Fultz still has more potential than any of these PGs available here, and since the Magic’s best chance to become something more than a #7 seed is for Fultz to become the player he was supposed to be, I would worry about what kind of message drafting another PG would send him. I’m just speculating here and maybe Fultz is way too mentally tough for anything like that to matter. But it’s something you’ve got to consider.

  It is however, Fultz can play the 2. But also look at their positions. They have Fournier and Ross they are paying. Fournier could leave but they have big money in Ross. They have Gordon, Isaac, Okeke, Aminu (who they overpaid for) and Iwundu, who granted isn’t a game changer, and then they have Vucevic and Bamba. They need a trade in order for this pick to really become obvious. For me, if Kira wasn’t still here, RJ Hampton would be the pick for me. He’s improved his shooting in the off-season, and he’s a guy the Magic like. I don’t think he will play PG with the Magic but who really knows with this team.

yeah i knew lewis was a year younger….i.love them both…but cole grew up in the nba enviroment and will contribute right away…
.i think on draft night there will be so many selections of guys going much sooner and some much later than fans & media members have predicted….i know this will raise some eyebrows…but i wont take vassell,haliburton or okoro in the top 10….

  Okoro I agree with. Vassell, given his jumpshot it wouldn’t be surprising but given his floor I don’t think it happens. Haliburton I could MAYBE see but the fact that teams are valuing intagebles more in this draft makes me believe that Haliburton will actually been reached on if that doesn’t sound weird. He could just as likely go 2 as 12. Draft night is going to be so crazy. I’m almost certain Kira won’t fall this far in the actual thing. Magic actually seem like the floor at this point for him.
