That’s a lot of moving parts. But to be honest I stopped reading at“Trade Joel Embiid, and Mike Scott to the Kings for Buddy Hield and Bogdan Bogdanovic and a 2023 1st”.

  why would the sixers trade their cornerstone big and be left with horford who will retire in 3-4 years, when they can get one of those guys, or a similar player, for horford and their first round pick?

Teach Embiid how to find the open man when he’s double-teamed. As long as Embiid is their go-to guy on offense, it doesn’t matter whose on the roster until he can do that consistently.
