OhCanada-ParticipantHe’s gonna be an amazing coach. Not sure what hes getting paid but its probably close to what he got as a player. Nets are gonna be fun to watch, I expect one more big trade.

sniperParticipantI would really hesitate to trade away the Levert/Allen/Dinwiddie future in order to bring in another veteran on Durant/Irving’s timeline. The East is *really* tough at the top now with Boston, Miami and Milwaukee all looking like legit contenders for the forseeable future. And Toronto could have another couple years as a contender in them, depending on what they do with all their free agents. Point is, I wouldn’t go all-in on making the finals in the next couple years with a team built around Durant/Irving.
I’d rather have a situation like Boston’s a couple years ago — when Horford and Irving, or Horford and IT were the stars, and Tatum/Brown/Smart were the up-and-coming youth movement.

HitsterParticipantGood move. It will be interesting to see how such a ball dominant creative PG runs his offence or who he runs it through.
I think the team needs to bed in Kyrie and KD before they consider major moves and see how things go. They will be an attractive option for vet FAs wanting to be on a contender.0 -

BothTeamsPlayedHard-ParticipantDealing with Kyrie is going to be tough. It would for whoever got the job, but especially for a first time coach. If the Nets just added Durant, and had LeVert, Dinwiddie, Prince, Harris, Jordan, Allen, Temple, and Claxton, they would have a contending team in 2021 with a pecking order that allows for an understanding of roles. I don’t think that exists with Kyrie, and I wonder if it means you end up with a lesser versions of LeVert and Dinwiddie.
