Most of these guys had solid careers in the NBA. However, they aren’t necessarily guys you would think of as “All-Star” players. Yet, each can claim an All-Star appearance on their resume. Not necessarily saying they weren’t deserving (although some may have been) but just kind of surprising.

    Kermit Washington (1980)
    James Donaldson (1988)
    Mark Eaton (1989)
    A.C. Green (1990)
    B.J. Armstrong (1994)
    Dana Barros (1995)
    Tyrone Hill (1995)
    Chris Gatling (1997)
    Dale Davis (2000)
    Antonio Davis (2001)
    Wally Sczerbiak (2002)
    Devin Harris (2009)
    Chris Kaman (2010)
    Kyle Korver (2015)

Yeah, Memphis Conley should have made it over Korver. The other problem is that the East has historically been worse.

Korver made the team while with the hawks….atlanta had 4 players make that team that year al horford, joe johnson, jeff teague and korver..
fans in La & Chicago overstuffed the ballots for ac green & bj Armstrong…,Neither of those guys were amongst the 5 best players on the own team..
I was upset in 2004 when coaches selected micheal redd over LeBron in his rookie season….
James Donaldson selection was widely panned by fans and the media…. 1 new York newspaper said he was the worst all star selection ever…
wally sczerbiak posted some impressive numbers during his all star selection 18pts/50%fg/45%3 pointers/83%ft……….
as a kid i didn’t understand why mark eaton made the team..but coaches called him 1 of the best defensive centers to ever play……

Jamaal Magloire (2004) and Theo Ratliff (2001) are also huge head-scratchers

Also Mark Eaton. He and Gobert are very similar. Both were on the Jazz. Both massive draft steals. Also Eaton has his jersey retired, so I don’t find that one super ridiculous.
