Best: Nate Archibald (1970)
“Tiny” was a six-time All-Star and only player ever to lead to the lead in both scoring and assists in the same season (1973). Later in his career he was a valuable contributor of the Celtics’ 1981 title team. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1991.
Other notables: John Collins (2017) Tobias Harris (2011) Jeff Teague (2009) Zach Randolph (2001) Rod Strickland (1988)
Worst: Quincy Douby (2006)
Close call but went with Douby here. He was a big-time scoring guard at Rutgers whose game proved to be too one-dimensional to be effective in the NBA. He was never able to get consistent minutes and was out of the league after 3 seasons. If the Kings wanted a guard, Rajon Rondo (21st) or Kyle Lowry (24th) would have been much better choices.
Other contenders: Sergey Karasey (2013) Javaris Crittenton (2007) Ryan Humphrey (2002) Randolph Childress (1995) Kenny Payne (1989)
