    Best: Paul Pierce (1998)
Pierce somehow slid to tenth in the 1998 draft, but the Celtics are glad he did. He played for the franchise for 15 seasons, winning a championship and finals MVP in 2008, and is the all-time leading scorer in franchise history.
Other contenders: Paul Silas (1964) Paul Westphal (1972) Eddie Jones (1994) Jason Terry (1999) Joe Johnson (2001) Caron Butler (2002) Andrew Bynum (2005) Brook Lopez (2008) CJ McCollum (2013)

    Worst: Mohammed Sene (2006)
2006 was apparently a good time to be a 7 footer with athletic gifts and an underdeveloped skill set and feel for the game. Sene was taken one pick after Patrick O’Bryant and had a similarly short and disappointing career. Luke Jackson was a very close second.
Other contenders: Clarence Grover (1971) Roy Hamilton (1979) Keith Edmondson (1982) Luke Jackson (2004) Jimmer Fredette (2011)

Best: Pierce is the easy pick.

Worst: Sene was another guy who was just bad from the beginning. Thon Maker might have the same fate (Sabonis taken with the next pick). Sacramento taking Jimmer, the nonathletic small school gunner over guys like Klay, Kawhi and Burks is hard to overlook.
