XYRYXParticipantI just learned via multiple Websites that Kobe died in a helicopter crash earlier Sunday morning in California. Others were involved as well.
I can’t believe this while I type this. I‘m in shock. Yesterday LeBron passed him on the scoring list and now this.
Can’t believe this. I‘m speechless1+ -

CynthiaParticipantJust heard it myself, gives me chills. Someone I’ve watched their entire career. All 5 on board died but we don’t know who they are yet, supposedly his wife is alive and okay. Don’t even know what to say.

holefillers1ParticipantJust watched Lebron pass him on the scoring list last night. He tweeted congratulations to James. This doesn’t seem real.

XYRYXParticipantThis is just terrible. What a loss to all of us around the world and I‘m also crushed to hear that GiGi went with him. I‘m still shocked and have no words for this mess.
This puts all the memories about him and his whole life and career into a completely different perspective. The whole goat debate, the feuds and everything is meaningless in situations like this. To see someone like Kareem talk about Kobes passing who was only 41 shows how fragile life is and how lucky we are to enjoy life, our kids and families.
My prayers go out to his family who need to find ways to live without not only a legend but also without a father, husband and a son.
RIP Kobe and thank you for all these amazing memories who shaped all of our lives for more than two decades! Life without you won’t be the same anymore1+ -

RUDEBOY-ParticipantI was looking forward to seeing Kobe standing alongside KG and Duncan as the most Prominent Class to enter the Hall of Fame since Jordan,David Robinson and John Stockton. That event will be kind of Solemn .

RUDEBOY-ParticipantI don’t know if it was Intentional . But Trae Young and Devin Booker both took 24 shots. And Combined for 81 points!!

canadabasketballisrisingParticipantWas really looking forward to Kobe’s HOF speech and who he would choose to enshrine him.. Jordan and Phil? I wonder if his wife or parents will do it? Feel horrible for his family… such a weird feeling. Kobe was literally my favorite athlete my whole life from age 6-26.

HitsterParticipantSo sad, I still cannot believe it. The story was headline news here in the UK.
He was simply one of the greatest players ever.0 -
