    Not nice to see him taking all these jumpshots. Its like the kid is allergic to the paint. Both times he got the ball in there so far tonight he travelled and theres a whole 9 minutes left in the first half. I hope this kid figures out hes bigger than everybody else pretty much every night.

    With a good creative PG in Rubio on the team there should be lots of scoring opportunities for Ayton inside. Guys today all seem to think they should be Dirk like big men when if they have the size and tools get inside and dominate the paint allowing the smaller guys to have spacing around the 3 point line and on the wings.

    If he’s going to shoot jumpers you’d prefer to see more come from behind the arc and less in the 15-20 ft range. Ayton showcased a decent ability to shoot the 3 in college and high school but hasn’t at all yet in the nba. Not sure if he’s struggling to adapt to the longer line, or if it’s an effort on the coaching staff to get him to play more in the paint. However, his shooting stroke and stretch ability was a significant part of his overall appeal as a prospect, and its a little disappointing he’s yet to really showcase it as a pro. Not saying I want him playing like brook lopez or anything, but if he can at least make defenses respect him from outside it will open up the floor a lot more.

      Yeah that Dirk like midrange two is just a bad shot for a bigman. Unless your Dirk. Its easy to contest, you clog up the offense and you lose your teams best offensive rebounder by having him take that shot. Not sure why they dont just go straight cheesy like the Raptors do with Ibaka. Pick and roll pick and pop all day. Just do what works they have the peices to do it with Ayton and Rubio and all the shooters on that team and when Booker comes back.
