    Two pretty big injuries last night. Ibaka sprained his ankle pretty badly and Lowry fractured his thumb. Masai Ujiri really better reveal whatever tricks he had up his sleeve early in the season because Toronto went into this season with no 3rd PG and no 3rd Center. Ridiculous yeah but look at the roster, 3rd PG would be Shamorie Ponds on the G-League Roster and 3rd C would be Dewan Hernandez also playing for the 905 unless you count Chris Boucher who looks like he weighs 190-200 pounds and will probably get the backup C minutes for now.

    Even at full strength Toronto has proven this year they need another scorer on the roster as well. Someone that can create their own offense to help out Siakam and Lowry. A true 3rd option or an off the bench instant O’ kind of player.

    These injuries come right before Toronto goes on a very difficult Western road trip. Might rack up a few losses here. Hopefully Lowry’s thumb isnt too bad I’m pretty sure it isnt his shooting hand.

    Lowry is out fot two weeks, Ibaka is out indefinitely with a very bad sprain. I wouldnt be surprised if Lowry takes more then two weeks as well.

    Raptors called up their 59th pick from the 2019 Draft, rookie Dewan Hernandez from the G-League affilate Raptors 905. Last night he played his first ever G-League game and went for 24-points, 10-rebounds, 3-assists, 2-steals , 2-blocks and 2 of 4 3pointers despite Shamorie Ponds and Tyler Ennis combning for 11 of 32 from the field with 11 turnovers. I dont think Ennis or Ponds will get called up unless they play better so Raps will probably role with Terrence Davis as the backup PG for now.

      He has very bad court vision almost no presence of where his teammates are on the floor. His handles are pretty basic as well. Turns on the blinders immediately and looks to attack the rim. If he could just make a mental note in his head to keep passing lanes and open teammates in mind the Raptors would be much better off but at this point Norm is what he is and we should be happy with what we get from him.
      Siakam will most likely play PG offensively the same way Lebron, Simmons and Giannis do.

    The Last few years Ibaka has seemed a token defensive and offensive player, at best. Lowry seems pretty much toxic. By far his most prolific contribution is verbal abusing the refs, and he’s outdone Chris Paul. If they can win without Ibaka/Lowry it proves their expendable. Hollis Jefferson was always a post in college at Arizona. For 2017 I had Boucher mocked first round, #30 overall. Judging from the box score, he did ok in his first real minutes (15pts, 3blk). Toronto beat LA.

      Last year Ibaka was anything but token. He was one of the most efficient underused players in the NBA and great on both ends of the floor.
      Lowry’s constant complaining to the refs at this point is comical. Its like he has a sickness and cant help but complain. I personally think no matter how hard they try it actually ends up turning the refs against us, just by natural human behavior.

      What would you trade Ibaka and Lowry for? These guys just helped us win a championship and are a huge part of the culture in Toronto which allows Toronto to draft or sign young guys like Pascal Siakam (27th), Norm Powell (46th), OG Anunoby (23rd), Chris Boucher (undrafted), Terrence Davis (undrafted), Matt Thomas (undrafted) and soon Dewan Hernandez (59th) to fit into the lineup so seamlessly and develop so quickly.

      Trading Lowry and Ibaka could break down that structure. Theres no point in trading Ibaka and Lowry for draft picks if there is no structure to develop those picks. They may trade Ibaka simply because theymight not have enough cap pace to keep him and Van Vleet but Lowry is staying.

    I disagree. Maybe I haven’t watched close enough. Ibaka is really average, he’s not active on defense. Doesn’t move without the ball. I think he’s awful, regardless of the media hype and stats.
    I’d like to see lowry’s career fade off into the sunset. I can’t watch without getting angry at his complaining. Hes usually MIA during big games. I would trade him for Malik Beasley.

      About Ibaka you defenitely havent been watching enough. Hes been playing byfar the best basketball of his career.
