     Around 2017, I posted a lot of topics about how I thought Jonathan Isaac was a bust. I didn’t see the skill level at the time. I believe I was ill-advised and just based my opinion off of what I heard and what little I did see of him. His rookie year wasn’t the best, and I was right abouit him then, but his sophomore year I started seeing more and more hints that I could have been wrong about him. Now that he has started his 3rd year in the league, I really see my error. He added more strength in the offseason which he desperately needed to do when he was a draft prospect. I think he added about 20 or 30 pounds to his frame. He did this without decreasing his speed or athleticism! So it actually has really helped him improve his game. I really like the changes he made, and am excited to see his improvement and progression this season and beyond. Should turn out to be a major force in the Magic offense once Aaron Gordon leaves (whom I expect to be traded within the next year or so, maybe sooner, depending on how much Isaac improves and Gordon’s role in their offense ends up being nuetralized in order to make room for Isaac. Just like Kanter was traded from the Jazz back in 2014 or 2015 I think to make room for Rudy Gobert.

     coming out of his draft class – but he was raw – people liked Isaac long term & I agreed 

    He has certain intangibles that can’t be taught: size, crazy length, athleticism, defensive instincts & he can shoot the 3

    No player is a guarentee when they’re being drafted at 17 or 18 years old but Isaac had a strong package

    These kids are so young & they are playing against grown men & the nBA is extremely physical

    Orlando is in good shape long term w/ their young talent

     Jonathan only played 27 games in his rookie year but made solid progress last season playing 75 games. With the Magic adding Bamba people perhaps thought they were having doubts on Isaac but it was just a case of them taking BPA.

    Also with Isaac there was talk about whether he was a SF, PF or C as he had skillset to play all these roles but he seems to be settling in at SF and playing some PF where his length and finese game may be best suited.
